Blogger: 1st year anniversary!

Hey girlies, it has been a while since I last posted something.

I am thinking of changing my website name to www.bobeauti.blogspot.co.uk in around a months' time when my studies are over. I am also thinking of completely changing my website layout and design and I hope you guys will like my new and improved blog in the near future.

It has almost been a year since I started and I truly enjoy every single part of it. My main purpose for launching my own website was to share my honest opinions on beauty products that have been purchased. Before I buy anything, I always look on reviews of the product and only buy something where I know the outcome is going to be good and worth buying. Another reason for creating this blog was to keep a diary of my travels around the world so that I can look back on the good memories created.

I just want to let you guys know that I am not sponsored to review any of the products you see on my website and I will continue to hopefully create great content and more reviews on many items to come.

Future plans for my blog:

  • More lookbook outfits
  • Budgeting tips (university students), I will be going to university soon and I will be learning too
  • Quick food recipes
  • More beauty related posts apart from just reviews.

Review: Green Tea Hand Gel Cream by THEFACESHOP

Green Tea Hand Cream

with green tea extract and olive oil

Hey guys! I want to share with you this hand cream, it is not anything that I heard of before because it is a gel based cream.

Benefits of Green tea
  1. Rich in antioxidants
  2. Rich in epigallocatechin gallate (powerful antioxidant and inhibits the growth of cancer cells)
  3. Catechin polyphenols
  4. Lower cholesterol levels
  5. Prevent arthritus
  6. Boosts immune system
If there are so many benefits, this hand cream must be good? , I heard Green tea in general is very beneficial to the health, that is why I chose this flavour out of the two that were available which was Green Tea and Honey Citron Tea.

Gel Creams

These creams are different to normal moisturising creams, they feel light to the touch and it does not take long to even distribute the product around the hands. It does not require as much rubbing into the skin and is great for summer!

Directions: Apply to clean hands as needed by gently messaging into hands.

Ingredients:

My thoughts: I thought the cream is very easy to apply, I think the good thing about the gel is that it hydrates your skin instantly and also I find that it drys quickly and is definitely not greasy which I find can be an important factor in finding a good hand cream. Although after it drys, it does feel as though my hands feels dirty.

Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • Very pleasant smell
  • Drys verys quickly
  • Cheap (£2)
Cons:
  • Is not highly moisturising
  • Leaves your hands feeling oddly dirty (feels rubbery when my fingers are rubbed against each other)

Review: Skinfood Bb cream Good Afternoon Peach Green Tea BB SPF 20 PA+

Skinfood Bb cream Good Afternoon Peach Green Tea BB SPF 20 PA+

I already like Skinfood's skin care products and wanted to try their makeup products so I opted for a BB cream because I needed one :)

My thoughts: This product does not have much coverage and that is why I would chose other BB creams over this. I like the factor that this have SPF 20 PA+ and well as giving a matte finish because usually SPF things can make your skin look shiny which I personally do not like. I would say that this BB cream will last around 4 hours on the face which is not that long, therefore would need reapplying throughout the day.  Whilst I was washing off the BB cream when testing, I noticed that the BB cream was waterproof, which is great in the raining seasons, but there are better BB creams out there and I am exactly disappointed in this but all in all Skinfood is still produce other great products that I have tried and tested out.

Here is a picture of me with only the bb cream on, there is a clear difference. :)

Price: This cost around 46 Hk dollars which is about £3.50 which is very cheap for a BB cream.

Pros:
  • Gives a matte finish
  • Cheap
  • Cute packaging
  • Waterproof
Cons:
  • Not much coverage
  • Does not last that long
  • Feels like there is no BB cream
Purchase?: I would not repurchase this product.
