Asia Adventures: Day Nine- Feels like I'm still in South Korea!

Feels like I'm still in South Korea!

We didn't have anything planned in the morning, this is what we eat though :).

All the shops were literally a five minute away from our house, so convenient!

Later that evening, we were feeling Korean food and I still wanted to try kimchi fried rice and bibimbap but did not get a chance to in South Korea :(.

The restaurant was called School Food in Sha Tin New Town Plaza Shopping mall
It is a franchise Korean food restaurant dotted around many parts of Asia and the USA.

Now I know why Kimchi fried rice is so popular!, mmmmmmmmm and the cheese on top of that..... I want it now :(

There is always room for dessert, in the same Plaza we decided to go to Patisserie Tony Wong which is very famous in Hong Kong and is a must try!

The cakes are a work of art!, you should visit the Tony Wong website to view the marvellous cakes.

Tony Wong had a set menu tea deal where you get a cake and a drink for 70 HK dollars.

  • Green Tea Opera Cake
This cake is my all time favourite at Tony Wong, the green tea is strong in flavour, the mousse gives a creamy texture to the cake and there are crunchy bits of biscuit at the bottom.

  • CONCORDE with sea salt
This was the one I had, the straws on the outside is meringue and inside there is chocolate sponge with mousse and on top there is more meringue with sea salt sprinkled on top. There is a perfect balance between sweetness and saltiness!

  • Raspberry and Dark Chocolate Cake

  • Gold Metal Cake
As described on the Tony Wong website

-Chocolate Sable
-Cocoa Sponge
-Chocolate Mousse
-Almond & Hazelnut Crunchy
-Jasmine Cream Brulee
-Jasmine Whipped Ganache

Next post will be Macau!, more delicious food discoveries yet to come!
