Review: Innisfree Eyebrow Powder Kit #2

Innisfree Eyebrow Powder Kit #2

Decription: A light brown matte colour and a dark greyish matte colour. The light colour to be used at the front bit of the eyebrows and the dark colour to be used at the tip of the eyebrow. This product creates a natural brow.

How to use: Apply on the brow with the brush available

Cost: This cost exactly 100 HK dollars in the Innisfree shop  in Mong Kok which is around £7.70 which is quite a reasonable price considering it is a brow powder kit and not just a pencil.

My thoughts: At first I did not really like the product because I did not think the brush was very good. But now I have gathered the brush is designed in a way that when I apply the powder on, it looks completely natural. I find the brush can collect a lot of product which is good if I want to apply it on heavily to make my brows lighter. The thing I do not like about this is the packaging, it looks a tiny bit tacky and it feels like the the kits is made out of cheap material, but apart from that, nothing else. I grew to really like the product though, the powder lasts for around five hours which is quite good and it is great for a trip out to town or something, it stays on for quite a long time. I like the powder because the finish is very natural, the brush actually helps with the application of the powder onto the brow. The kit is very small and it is handy to put in your handbag and easy to use too. I can also use the product to contour my nose too which is very good. I am a very happy bunny and will purchase this again if I have the chance to.

Pros:
  • Reasonable price
  • Natural looking
  • Brush is good even though it is cheap material
  • Can create own brow colour
Cons:
  • Cheap packaging
  • Cheap brush
Purchase?: I would like to buy this again.

  3. Chuck them into a baking tray.
  4. Pour enough olive oil so that it coats the potato strips.
  5. Sprinkle some paprika, pinch of sea salt and some pepper to season.
  6. Mix the flavours around with clean hands.

I made a sauce to go with the sweet potato chips!!
I just picked some chives from the garden, mixed mayonnaise and ketchup together with the chives to form this delicious sauce!!!

Here is the final product!

Review: THEFACESHOP Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam

Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam

Hi guys! This is my first review and I hope you like it :)
The Face Shop is a South Korean cosmetic and skincare label, it has now branched out from South Korea to other parts of the world including the US and Asian countries such as Taiwan.
The Face Shop skincare products are very similar to The Body Shop here in the UK.
Some of their products have be recommended on 'Get it beauty' which is a makeup television show.

Description: This is a simple peach flavoured cleansing foam which has a slight pinkish white pearly colour and it has a thick texture.

Cost: This only cost one pound in Hong kong, which is so darn cheap! This product will literally last for one to two years.

Ingredients:

My skin type: Dry to sensitive skin

Directions: Massage over wet face and rinse off with lukewarm water

My thoughts: This product makes your face squeeky clean and cleans your makeup off completely, it may not clear away all eye makeup as I have not tried this cleansing foam with waterproof eye makeup. This cleansing foam does a great job of cleansing the face but I do not think this product is suitable for dry skin. After using this, my nose starts to semi peel and it becomes dry, even though THEFACEHOP said it was for all skin types.

Pros:
  • Does the job well
  • A lot of product
  • Smells like peach
  • Very cheap
Cons:
  • The lettering on the packaging does slowly fade over time
  • Drying
Purchase?: I would not buy this again because I think that are better cleansing in the market such as The simple cleansing wash.

Review: theBalm Mary Lou Manizer

theBalm Mary Lou Manizer

Thebalm cosmetics creates makeup, skincare, haircare and nail polishes. They are a well established makeup company founded in 2004 and is well known around the world.

Description: A natural looking highlighter with a gold of shimmer

Ingredients:

Cost: This highlighter was £15 from theBalm website

My thoughts: This product is so multipurpose, it can be used for highlighting the cheeks, the inner corners of your eyes, highlighting the nose and used as eyeshadow. I love this product because it gives a long lasting shimmer for the whole day, I am not joking with you, it lasts that long. The highligher is very not glittery, the specs in it are so fine it looks very natural on any skin type. This also looks great on camera.

Pros:
  • Very long lasting
  • Very natural
  • Reasonable price
  • Nice packaging
Cons:
  • Highligher may break apart when dropped on the floor
Purchase?: I will definitely repurchase this product again

Healthy Strawberry and Banana Milkshake

Healthy Strawberry and Banana Milkshake (makes 1)

Ingredients
  • 1 Banana (medium - large)
  • 5 Strawberries (small-medium)
  • 250ml milk
This is one of my favourite milkshake recipes because it is simple, healthy and it tastes good!
Advice: If you want your drink to taste a bit sweeter you should use less strawberries, always stick with one banana and also if you want the drink to be slightly thicker, make sure you put the fruit into the blender first because it acts as a guideline, and pour below where the fruit limits. I like my milkshakes less thick, so I usually pour way above where the fruit limits.
Method
1. Cut the bananas and strawberries into pieces
2. Place them into the blender
3. Pour cold milk into the blender and blend
4. Pour into your cup and stir so all ingredients are fully integrated
5. Decorate with a strawberry and add ice to make the drink cooler

Review: Innisfree white tone up sleeping pack

Innisfree white tone up sleeping pack

with pure berries extracts and green complex

Hi guys!

I came across this highly recommended South Korean cosmetics brand called 'Innisfree' which promotes eco-friendly products and they are involved in the Green Life Campaign. Their flagship stores are located in Asia, such as South Korea, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Singapore and New Delhi (India). If you're anywhere else like me in the UK, you can order it online at Koreadepart or Yesstyle.

Innisfree has four different types of sleeping packs and I have three of them which are the Green tea sleeping pack, the wine jelly sleeping pack and this one that I will be reviewing. I have also reviewed the other two, if you want to see, just go to my archive :)

I would have to say this sleeping pack is the best one out of the three!!
This product is (says on the box): Formulated with fresh berry ingredients to refine skin texture and vitamin B3 to brigthen up skin ton, this gel-like type sleeping pack helps you to present a brighter and milky complexion.

This is what it looks like:

My skin type: Dry to sensitive skin

My thoughts: I really do think this product works a lot, the sleeping pack feels light and it is not sticky and does not bother me when I am sleeping. There are little beads that you pop whilst applying the mask on which makes it a bit fun. I have noticed that over time, my face has gone a lot brighter but has not necessarily whitened. This has improved the appearance of my skin and has lightened some of my dark patches. I have started using it on my arms as well. Although it feels odd and slimey, I really do believe that this product has worked in lightening the dark areas of my armpits. I love this product and I've been using it for a year now and the tube still looks full, I bought another one just in case I ran out, it looks like I am going to have to sell it if it is not used up by next year.

Innisfree advices you to throw away their products after 12-24 months of use. This shows that Innisfree provides their products with the most natural ingredients and those ingredients are more likely to expire than heavy processed ingredients. Innisfree does not usually add any preservatives in their skincare products. Good on them!

Directions: During your evening skin care routine in the phrase of applying cream, apply an appropiate amount evenly onto entire face avoiding the eye and lip area and gently message for better absorption. Leave on overnightand rinse off as you wash a next morning.

Ingredients:

Cost: This sleeping mask is the most expensive out of the three. It was 110 HK dollars which is about £8.44. I think it is still worth buying!

 Pros:
  • Brightening effect
  • Lighten dark spots
  • Look healthy
  • Good price
  • Lasting results
  • A lot of product
Cons:
  • None, it love it too much!
Purchase?: YES, of course, I love it!!
