Luxury sushi in the heart of Canary Wharf

Luxury sushi in the heart of Canary Wharf

Hey guys, I have not posted a while about my whereabouts and what I’m currently doing.
Here’s little update on my life, I’ve just recently finished my exams and currently on a placement in London, a great chance for me to show you a bit of London.

After work I met up with my older sister to have some sushi at the new Sticks n Sushi down the broadway of restaurants that have recently opened up to the public which is located at the new Crossrail station. This method of transport will provide convenient and quick transport to central London in no time from Canary Wharf. But anyways, enough with the blabbing, let’s get into what we ate.

1. Fish bowl:
Description from the website- Greenland shrimps, seared salmon and tuna, lettuce, sweet tomatoes, quinoa, snow peas, cucumber, edamame beans, avocado, red onion, radish, ginger chives daikon, roasted pumpkin seeds and lastly miso mustard.

This salad pretty much had everything you want in a salad, the salad had a good helping of quinoa along with plenty of fish. The fish bowl was a good starter before our array of goodies for the main.

2. Black cod dragon roll
Description from the website- Miso marinated in black cod with avocado cream cheese covered in black sesame seeds. My sister who is also an absolute foodie www.dinewithcassie.wordpress.com, wanted to try black cod and I’m glad she ordered this dish because it has to be one of the best sushi combination I’ve ever tried. My usual favourite is the egg rice sushi and the eel sushi. But I think I found a new favourite except I don’t think black cod is commonly sold, such a shame!

3. Salmon roll
This is pretty much just a bit of salmon in the sushi, I still loved it just as much as other ones we ordered.

4. Hell’s kitchen roll
Description from the website- Tempura shrimp with spicy sauce topped with tuna and BBQ sauce.
I found this sushi the most filling and I could only eat a few. The sushi was well made and I could tell I had been freshly made on the spot, the rice was still a bit warm. Maybe it was just me but I don’t think I liked it as much because of the fact that there was sashimi on top of the rice and I’m not used to eating raw fish.

5. Sweets-Dark
There was an array of desserts including a marcel chocolate cake with crystallised white chocolate, bergamot orange crème brulee, dark fondant with caramel chocolate and a peppermint heart with hazelnut brittle.
The black sesame ice cream was sold out so we had dark chocolate with caramel covered in lightly toasted sesame.

I don't think I would go back for the desserts again, they were just very small and I did not think it was worth the price considering the quality and size of the dessert.
Hope you enjoyed my little journey to eat sushi and we will end it here with my pictures of Canada Square.

Thanks guys, keep updated by following me!

Summer Adventures: Cute Cafe and a stroll down the seafront

Hey,  why don't I take you with me on my summer adventure and what better way to start a hot summer day with a stroll down the seafront with some brunch,  my favourite kind of day...

Here's my OOTD:
-Playsuit is from Missguided
-Cardigan is from Oasis

There was so much traffic and so I decided to take some pictures of my surroundings and a cheeky selfie, I simply couldn't contain my excitement :)

Luckily, we found a parking spot and right by the sea front too!,  but we were in a hurry because we booked a place at Sara's Tea Garden to have brunch.
We didn't have much at the tea garden because we wanted to save our tummies for ice cream and doughnuts later.
Here is what we had...
A nice display of the front post along with a pair of clutches.., Hahaha I only just realised.

Sundried Tomato, chicken and salad sandwich

I was planning to try the cranberry and brie cheese panini but there happened to be a power cut so we could only choose the sandwiches, I didn't except the sandwich to be so delicious!

That's not all we eat, we also had an ice cream after at Poco Gelato.

I had pistachio and toasted coconut, my two most favourite flavours in ice cream.

We then went to LOS DONUTS, where they sold donuts obviously!!
Here's what I got, it was a strawberry cheesecake flavoured donut and the other one was a cookie crumble donut, all of the donuts were £2.50 which is quite pricey for a donut but well worth getting!!, I actually liked it better than Krispy Kreme and the dough was so soft and airy.

Well that was a cute little outing and I enjoyed it very much! I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing this!

Skirt- Zara
Vest top- Primark
T shirt- French collection

Have a wonderful day!
